The Gefran WPP-A-B-0100-N is a contactless linear position transducer featuring HYPERWAVE magnetostrictive technology in an aluminum profile housing. With a 100 mm measurement stroke, this sensor delivers high-accuracy position sensing without any physical contact between the sensing element and the moving cursor, eliminating mechanical wear and providing virtually unlimited operational life.
The WPP-A series is engineered for demanding industrial environments where conventional potentiometric sensors may not survive. The contactless design provides high performance in terms of environmental protection and electromagnetic immunity, with accuracy verified against non-linearity, repeatability, and hysteresis specifications. The sensor withstands vibrations up to 12g per DIN IEC68T2/6 and carries an IP67 ingress protection rating for use in harsh, wet, or dusty conditions.
Multiple analog output configurations are available in both voltage and current formats, supporting direct position and speed measurement. A reverse measurement option is also available for position-only applications. The sensor accepts single or double cursor arrangements using either sliding or floating magnetic cursors, and operates on a standard 24 Vdc ±20% power supply.
The WPP-A-B-0100-N is part of a broader WPP-A product family with strokes ranging from 50 to 2,500 mm. It is fully compliant with EMC directive 2014/30/EU and the RoHS 2011/65/EU directive.
