Gefran PY-2-C-025 Potentiometer

The Gefran PY-2-C-025 is a touch version potentiometer with ball tip, offering a 10 to 100 mm stroke. It has double support of the control rod and a return spring, with a tip fitted with M2.5 thread and a stainless steel ball. Independent linearity is up to ±0.1%, with infinite resolution. There is no variation of electrical signal outside the theoretical electrical stroke. Displacement speed is up to 10 m/s. Working temperature range is −30°C to +100°C.

Two electrical connection options are available: PY2 F (3-wire, 1 m screened cable) and PY2 C (5-pole connector, DIN43322). Life duration is rated at over 100×10⁶ operations (within C.E.U.). Grade of protection is IP40.

Per Gefran, it is suitable for use in explosive environments with the presence of gas (groups IIA, IIB, IIC) and combustible powders, meeting ATEX CEI EN 50020 2003 standards for simple devices (paragraph 5.4a).
