The Gefran 4T-96-4-00-1 is a microprocessor-based indicator in a 96×48 mm (1/8 DIN) format, manufactured with surface mount technology. It provides a versatile, panel-mounted display solution for monitoring temperature, process, and linear input signals in industrial applications.
The instrument features a Lexan membrane faceplate guaranteed to IP65, with 3 keys and a 3/4 digit display. Input selection covers a comprehensive range of sensor types: thermocouples (J, K, R, S, T, B, E, N, L GOST, U, G, D, C), resistance thermometers (Pt100, JPt100 in 2 or 3-wire configuration), PTC and NTC thermistors, and linear inputs spanning voltage and current ranges. All input selection is performed directly from the faceplate keys — no external shunts or adapters are needed.
A built-in transmitter power supply allows the 4T96 to power external 2-wire transmitters directly, simplifying wiring and reducing panel component count. Custom thermocouple linearization is available for non-standard sensor curves, and internal linearization converts raw signals to engineering units. Labels for the most common physical units are included.
Programming is organized into function blocks with a simplified data entry menu. Configuration can also be performed remotely via serial link or through the GF_eXpress PC software using a connection cable and guided Windows-based interface. A configurable password protection code restricts access to editing and viewing configuration parameters.
